Inertia 2

Inertia is an object’s resistance to changes in motion unless acted upon by a force. Initially, the car is at rest on top of the dynamics cart and block. The second dynamics cart collides with the first, exerting a force that accelerates the first dynamics cart to the left. The friction between the dynamics cart and the block accelerates the block to the left as well. The near-frictionless axles on the car reduce the force of friction to a negligible amount, thus gravity is the only force acting on the car.

In July of 1966, Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. spoke at our very own Hammerschmidt Memorial Chapel, granting us a message of hope and faith. Today, we remember and celebrate his life and teachings.
