No Exit
By Jean-Paul Sartre
Translation by Stuart Gilbert
Directed by Derek Liavas
In Jean-Paul Sartre’s existentialist play No Exit, three strangers find themselves locked in a small drawing room together by a mysterious valet. They slowly come to realize the nature of their imprisonment and the unexpected punishments therein as they come to terms with their fates and their past actions. No Exit is a darkly humorous exploration of the afterlife, self-deception, and the human obsession with the meaning — or meaninglessness — of life.
