The Learning Center
Located in the library, the learning center offers academic support for all Elmhurst University students.
- Services Offered: Graduate writing workshops as well as graduate-level tutoring in statistics and writing through in-person or online appointments

Study Spaces
At Elmhurst, you’ll find plenty of spots to hit the books and prep for that final exam or job interview. Supporting the success of our students so they can gain the skills needed to succeed is important to us. We provide the spaces, resources and services to help make that happen.
- Library
- Lower Level: Study rooms, general study areas with chairs and tables and access to the Russell G. Weigand Career Center for Professional Excellence (WCCPE) for resume assistance and career guidance
- First Level: Computers, tables/sofas and tutoring in the Learning Center
- Second Level: Group and individual study rooms, tables/chairs
Community and Relaxation Spaces
Founders Lounge
- A versatile space located in the Frick Center where students can:
- Study, relax or meet with friends
- Attend events and club meetings
- Access mail services
- Amenities include: Public printers, scanners, fax machines, vending machines and ATMs
Commuter Lounge
Popular spot for commuter students who don’t live on campus. Located in the Frick Center near the Bluejays’ Roost. This lounge offers comfortable seating and tables for studying or relaxation.
Bluejay Spirit Shop
Located in the Frick Center, the Bluejay Spirit Shop is your one-stop-shop to:
- Buy/rent your books, both online and hardcopy
- Sell your books
- Purchase Elmhurst University-branded spirit wear
Dining Options
There are many delicious food choices available on campus. Whether you’re in the mood for a latte, sandwich or four-course meal, we’ve got you covered. Multiple cafes on campus serve Starbucks drinks, or stop by the roost on the lower level of the Frick Center to grab your favorite snack, to name only a few dining locations. Tyrrell Fitness Center
Features a comprehensive weight room and workout area, located at 221 Walter Street on the north end of campus. The center is an important piece of Campus Recreation’s mission to encourage an active, healthy and balanced lifestyle for a diverse student body. Campus is located within walking distance of vibrant downtown Elmhurst, including from the Metra train station that allows for a convenient commute to and from Chicago.
