FAQ’s
First work with your advisor to find an alternative course or section. If it is determined that you need to enroll in the course this upcoming term, then you will need to email the department chair, school dean (education courses only) or program director (graduate students only) for approval. Once approval is received, forward to [email protected] and the Office of Registration & Records will enroll you.
IMPORTANT: For BUS & ECO courses, work with your advisor first to see if an alternative course or section can be taken. If not, your advisor should contact Dean Wan, Dean Wolff or Dr. Wilson in the School of Business.
This must be done through the course instructor. Please contact and coordinate with them to begin the process.
Start with the Weigand Center for Professional Excellence (WCPE) to begin your internship process. They will then provide you with the internship registration form.
If you placed into a Math or World Language course and are unable to register via Self-Service, submit the Add, Drop or Change Grading Preference form.
All midyear graduates will get the same information about the ceremony sent to them during the first months of the Spring Term.
They will place their cap and gown orders then and RSVP.
Please be sure to continue checking your Elmhurst University email and the Commencement webpage for these updates.
Students should first discuss with the instructor(s) their alternative plan for completing the final exam. Then the student should submit the Register for Courses with Final Exam Time Conflict request, including a description/explanation of how the final exam time conflict will be resolved. Once the form is submitted, it will go to both instructors for approval. After approval is received from both instructors, the Office of Registration and Records will register the student.
All students are assigned a time assignment each semester, even if the student is graduating. Time assignments are based on credits completed; therefore, the semester that the student is currently enrolled in does not count toward this. Time assignments may not be changed or switched. On the day and time of your assignment, students can begin registering.
- Business hold: This will prevent you from adding and dropping courses. You will need to contact the Office of Student Financial Services to get the hold resolved.
- Adviser hold: This will prevent you from adding and dropping courses yourself. You will need adviser approval to do so. Contact your adviser via email and then forward their permission to [email protected]. Make sure to include your name and eNumber.
Unofficial transcripts are available without needing access to your myElmhurst portal. As long as you completed your studies after 2003, the Self-Service app (ss.elmhurst.edu) is all you need. If your records are from prior to 2003, you’ll need to order transcripts from through National Student Clearinghouse.
You’ll log in with your eNumber and the most recent password you used with your myElmhurst portal account. If you don’t know your eNumber, use the “forgot username” link. Forgot your password? Once you sign in to Self Service, navigate to the menu icon at the top left corner > Academics > Unofficial Transcript
