Elmhurst graduates have an outstanding success rate. Nearly all of our graduates report being employed within 12 months of graduation. Many go on to earn advanced degrees.

Many Elmhurst nursing alumni complete master’s and doctoral programs in nursing and teach at leading colleges. They supervise and direct hospital nursing staffs, public health agencies, and home health care agencies. The possibilities are endless.

Graduates are working in a wide range of fields, including:

Cardiovascular rehabilitation
Home health and mental health care
Public/community health
Women’s health
School nursing

Surgical intensive care
Adult medical-surgical care
Pediatrics
Industry (i.e., pharmaceutical, insurance)

Your Elmhurst experience will give you the capacity to move readily among nursing specialties and disciplines—including some that have yet to emerge.

Did you know we have one of the most sophisticated university-owned studios in Illinois on campus? The Gretsch Recording Studio, housed in the basement of Daniels Hall, gives students real-world experience in both music performance and production 🎛️
