Chamber Ensembles
Elmhurst offers a number of ensembles to join and further your musical interests.
Saxophone Quartets
The Saxophone Quartet program at Elmhurst University began in 1999. The five to eight quartets give a major concert on campus at least once a term, and also perform off-campus. Saxophonists often form close relationships from playing in a quartet, stay together for several years, and find chamber music to be the best way to improve musicianship. Participation is highly encouraged of everyone in the saxophone studio.

Percussion Ensemble
The Percussion Ensemble was formed in 1993 with the goal of introducing its members to high-quality music written or transcribed for percussion instruments. The ensemble presents concerts both on and off campus.

Jazz Combos
Student musicians come together in small group settings to perform a variety of jazz styles. They are placed in an appropriate group after audition, and all the combos perform each term at the Silverado Grill in Elmhurst.
