Elsie Hurtado Pollari, MOT, OTR/L earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Lake Forest College and her Master of Occupational Therapy degree from the University of Puget Sound. She is currently earning her Post-Professional Occupational Therapy Doctorate from Boston University.
Elsie has been in clinical practice as an OT for over 10 years and worked previously as a mental health counselor for 7 years prior to becoming an occupational therapist. Elsie has specialized concentration in adult physical disabilities, with certifications in LSVT-BIG and is a certified stoke rehabilitation specialist, in addition to 4 years of pediatric experience. Her experience is across the life span within the areas of acute care, inpatient rehabilitation, and outpatient rehabilitation.
Elsie has been working with the Elmhurst University occupational therapy team as adjunct faculty since Summer 2019, and transitioned into the role of Academic Fieldwork Coordinator and Clinical Assistant Faculty in the Fall of 2021. Elsie is a founding member of and currently serves as the Faculty Liaison for the Elmhurst University chapter of COTAD.
