Major in Entrepreneurship
The major in entrepreneurship is designed for students who are passionate about innovation, problem-solving, and creating their own ventures.
This interdisciplinary program provides a comprehensive foundation in both the theoretical and practical aspects of starting, managing, and growing a business. Students will learn to identify opportunities, develop business ideas, assess market needs, and build sustainable business models.
Graduates of the entrepreneurship major are equipped to launch their own businesses, join startups, or work in innovation-focused roles within established companies, with the mindset and skills to drive change and create value in various industries.
Major Requirements
A student specializing in entrepreneurship must complete the business core (maintaining a C or better overall average in the core curriculum), and five additional courses in the following manner.
Required Courses
- BUS 333 Marketing Research
- BUS 352 Entrepreneurship
- BUS 491 Small Business
Choose Two of the Following Courses:
- BUS 355 Negotiations: Theory and Practice
- BUS 365 Business Law
- BUS 431 Business to Business Professional Selling
- BUS 468 Internship
