Elmhurst University accepts up to half of the major courses in transfer credit as well. This provides an opportunity to utilize previously earned college credits or to begin sampling a couple business courses at a community college to start your journey towards your degree.

Integrated Curriculum Coursework

Along with your major requirements, all undergraduate students complete the Elmhurst Integrated Curriculum, a comprehensive set of general education courses that introduce you to new subjects and perspectives.

Integrated Curriculum courses may be completed before, after or during the terms of the EMP major coursework.  To allow for the highest level of flexibility within the program, courses may be transferred in from prior college level coursework, or students may elect to take transfer courses alongside the Elmhurst EMP courses. While the university welcomes transfer students and transfer credits from all over, students can benefit from the partnership between Elmhurst University and College of DuPage, a community college located near Elmhurst. College of DuPage offers online coursework in 5, 8, 12, or 16-week formats and regardless of what area a student may live in, all students receive the in-district tuition rate for these courses as part of our integrated curriculum pathway program.

Being a military friendly school is a big reason why I selected Elmhurst. By using the G.I. bill, I was really able to just focus on my education and doing well in the program versus having to worry about the financials.”
