Resources are organized by Academics/Academic Centers and Student Support Services. Each section contains key offices and when international students tend to contact them.

ACADEMICS/ACADEMIC CENTERS

  • Contact the Office of Advising if you:
    • Want assistance with major exploration, course registration, degree requirements and general support on making thoughtful decisions regarding your academic endeavors
    • Access the “Self-Service Guide” for information on Student Planning, Registration and general FAQs
• Faculty Advisors
  • Contact your Academic Advisor (UG) or Program Director (GR) if you:
    • Need advice on course registration
    • Are having academic difficulties
    • To find the name of your assigned Academic Advisor/Program Director, log-in to the MyElmhurst Portal, then go to Self-Service>Student Planning>My Progress. Click on “Show Program Notes.”
• International Student Services (ISS)
  • Contact ISS for advising needs related to F-1 regulations and your immigration status, cultural adjustment, navigating campus resources, and college student referrals.
• The Learning Center
  • Contact The Learning Center if you:
    • Are having academic difficulties and need tutoring/academic support
• Registration and Records
  • Contact Registration and Records if you:
    • Need transcripts, have commencement questions, or need the following letters:
    • Need an Enrollment Verification letter (can be mailed and serve as proof of address)
    • Have questions about how to apply for graduation (do so 6-12 months prior to your projected graduation date)
      • You can download a “Graduation Invitation Letter” template to complete and send to your family that you’d like to invite to Commencement
• Russell G. Weigand Center for Professional Excellence (WCPE)
  • Contact the WCPE if you:
    • Need advice on career guidance, pre-law and health professions advising, resume help, and internship assistance (then talk to ISS to make sure you are eligible for the appropriate authorizations on your SEVIS record)

  • Contact Access and Disability Services if you:
    • Want to discuss the need for accessible and reasonable accommodations.
• Chaplain’s Office
  • Contact the Chaplain’s Office for questions related to spiritual and religious development. The Chaplain’s Office is open to students of all faiths and no faiths, and has Chaplains, Co-Chaplains, and Advisors from various faith backgrounds available to the Elmhurst University community.

    • Are looking for a culturally inclusive space and gathering spot on campus
    • Need a space to collaborate on homework, relax in-between classes, and connect with other students, faculty, and staff

  • Contact Student Involvement to explore a variety of opportunities to get involved on campus, including clubs and organizations, community service, Greek Life, campus recreation, and more.
• Wellness Center
  • Contact Student Health Services (SHS) if you:
    • Need basic health care services, including preventive care, vaccinations, treatment of minor illnesses and injuries, immunizations (and immunization records), lab work and more. All services are confidential and many of them are free (confirm with SHS).
    • You can also use your ISO health insurance card to seek in-network care outside of Elmhurst University.

    • Need confidential counseling to help adjust to college life, address psychological issues and maintain a healthy lifestyle. This includes support for issues such as alcohol and other drugs, transition, eating disorders, anxiety, depression and more.
