International Friendships, Inc.
The Office of Global Engagement partners with International Friendships, Inc. (IFI) to provide assistance to our international students that goes above and beyond the every day services and support that International Student Services provides. Assistance/support that is typically offered includes:
- Transportation assistance
- Airport pick-up/drop-off
- Transportation to/from Elmhurst University
- Temporary housing
- Host family placement
- Friendship partners/English conversation partners
- Weekly gatherings
- Monthly events
- Holiday hosting
Students interested in or in need of any of the above are welcome to reach out directly to our IFI representative, Nick Miller, to inquire about availability or options for resources and assistance, or scan the QR code below to complete a survey. The availability of any assistance/support measures is at the discretion and availability of IFI.
Please note: Elmhurst University ISS staff, while able to discuss and recommend IFI to our international students, are not responsible for connecting students to IFI – students need to connect directly with IFI as desired or needed. In addition, Elmhurst University is not liable for any issues incurred through this partnership, but should be made aware of any occurrences to help provide other resources and support as needed.
