Auditions for each choral ensemble are held at the beginning of each term.

The Elmhurst Choirs work to value and inspire human beings inside and outside of the program through innovative programming, artistic performances, creative and reflective practices and meaningful engagement with the community.

Our vision is to create powerful, inclusive and meaningful choral music to inspire and transform the musicians, as well as all patrons who engage with our work.

Elmhurst Choirs

The Elmhurst Choirs are committed to exploring a broad range of choral music from varying musical styles, time periods and cultural backgrounds. Made up of students from all academic fields and majors, our student choirs can be found performing regularly on and off campus. They share four or more major concerts and travel on tours throughout the year.

Concert Choir

Concert Choir is an auditioned mixed ensemble and the top flagship choir at Elmhurst University. Concert Choir was recently selected to perform at the 2023 Illinois American Choral Directors Association Fall Conference and the 2024 Illinois Music Education Conference.

This course fulfills the large ensemble credit for music majors.

Collegiate Chorus

Collegiate Choir is a mixed ensemble that places emphasis on vocal technique, aural skills and other foundational choral skills. This ensemble will explore SATB, SSAA, and TTBB literature.

Chamber Chorale

Chamber Chorale is a treble ensemble for sopranos and altos. This ensemble balances musical and vocal training with high performance expectations throughout the year.
