Elmhurst University
Founders Day

— December 6, 2021 —

Thank you to everyone who helped make our Founders Day such a memorable event!

On December 6, 1871, the Rev. Carl F. Kranz and 14 students stepped off a train and went on to establish the institution now known as Elmhurst University. On December 6, 2021, we gathered as a community to celebrate the pioneering spirit of that first day in our 150-year history, our Founders Day.

If you were not able to join us, we encourage you to connect with Elmhurst at any time by emailing [email protected].

We’ll be paying tribute to our 150-year legacy in many special ways during the 2021-2022 academic year. See what’s coming up!
