The Writing Center now has a newsletter called, The Write Way. Our newsletter is an informal publication written by students for students, and it features tips and advice from the WC tutors that they think Elmhurst students might find useful not only for writing papers, but for surviving college in general.

Every two weeks a new issue is available in the Writing Center. Feel free to stop by and pick one up. And as always, we hope you'll come see us for your writing needs.

The Writing Center is open Wednesdays from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. and Thursdays from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. during the month of January.

The Writing Center is now closed. We will not be open at all during finals week. We have so enjoyed working with our peers this semester and have been impressed with your amazing progress! Best of luck with your papers!

Finals Week

As the semester is coming to a close, try to plan ahead.
The writing center will not be open during finals week, so if you have
that one last paper due during finals and you know you'll need some
pointers, try to come see us the week before.

If you've finally gotten all your papers handed in, have a wonderful

Hello Writers-

Writing kinfolk,

Well, we sure have seen a lot of you around the last couple weeks!

I'm guessing that midterms had something to do with the influx at the good
ol' Writing Center. We're glad to help, and we also want to spread the
message that:

**!!!!THE WRITING CENTER IS OPEN EVERY WEEK!!!!**

That's right--for all those papers that fall in between finals and
midterms, you can get help with them as well. Maybe the big essays all fall at the same time of the year, but don't discount that extra eye even for 2-3
page assignments. If the tutors help you tighten up your writing on the
small scale, mammoth term projects will be that much easier to execute at
the end of the semester.

The door is open.

Dear EC students,

Now that we're about one month into classes, the vast majority of you are
dealing with essays. It doesn't matter if they're for education, music, or
biology: now that it's time for you to write, you're on our turf.

(And we're here to help.)

The Writing Center is here to serve you, and it's up to you to stop by our
office in the Frick Center and give your writing that extra edge. Don't
let your experience level get in the way--whether you're not sure how to
work with your topic or you're putting on the final touches, every piece
of writing benefits from someone else's perspective.
