Issues and Mini-Essays - Citation Guide

  1. Cite all sources at the end of the document. For on-line sources follow the American Chemical Society (ACS) guidelines found here: http://www.an.psu.edu/jkl1/chem/citing.html For print sources (such as the text) any standard format will do (MLA, ACS, etc.) (See A. C. Buehler Library College Writing and Citing Guide)

  2. Also cite sources within the mini-essays, using a parenthetical notation. A simple clear paranthetical reference such as (text, p. xx), (www.epa.gov/oar) or (Jones, 1998) will suffice.
