Gamma
Theta Upsilon
Gamma Theta Upsilon was founded in 1928 and became a national organization in 1931. This international geography honor society strives to further professional interest in geography by providing activities other than those found in the classroom or laboratory, by advancing the status of geography as a cultural and practical discipline, and by encouraging student research and publication. Students who have taken at least three geography courses, have a 'B' average in geography and rank in the upper 35 percent of their class are invited to join.
Elmhurst College Geographical
Society
The goal of this society is to further professional
interests in geography by providing a common organization for all people
interested in this field. It also provides students with out of class experience
for a better understanding of geography as a cultural and practical discipline.
